Today, I was on dogs.  I did the usual dog stuff, then we went to Snohomish. Our journey was to take food to a disabled woman who could not afford dog and cat food. When we got there , we met her animals. Her dog's name was Zeus, he was a German Shepherd puppy. Her cat's name was Ricky, and she had a chubby chicken named Frank. It was so cute how her animals stayed around the trailer protecting her.

Today, I was on farm. First we fed the animals. Then, we planted trees in front of Kitty City. Camille and I planted the trees too low, so we need to get more soil. After that, we mucked the chicken coops. It took a long time, and was hard work. After lunch, we went to the horse farm to muck. Someone already mucked, though, so we just spent the time grooming the horses. I kept brushing them because they were super dusty. I guess the static was a bit too much, because when I touched the horses it would shock me. Once, the shock was so bad, it hurt the horse too and he jerked away from me.

Today, Camille, Madeline, and I made a presentation about 'Animal Kindness' to kids attending Meridian School. It was a lot of fun, because all the kids asked really interesting questions.

Today was our second day off! We took Dana to the airport, and then went to Uwajimaya. It is a Japanese store. I ate a lot. That night, Camille and I stayed up really late practicing for our presentation tomorrow at Meridian school l

Today was our day off! We slept in, and had some of Madeline's yummy pancakes. We worked on our presentation for Friday, where we go to an Elementary school and present about Pasado's Safe Haven. We went to town, got some food. That's all folk

Today, I was on farm!!! At first, we went to the farm animals' houses and let them roam free. We also fed them breakfast and cleaned their areas. These animals included: pigs, geese, chickens, llamas, horses, and goats. After that, we helped clean out what will be the farm animals' Med Shed. There was a lot of stuff to either be disposed of, or organized in the storage barn. After lunch, we went to the horse farm to help clean out their hay sheds. Throughout the day, I learned many interesting facts. About llamas, for example, I learned two main things. 1) when their ears are forward, they are comfortable, when back, they are anxious. 2) they poop, generally, in the same spot, which makes it super easy to clean! It was a lot of work, but it was a lot of fun to be able to work with so many of the animals in one day!

Today, I had dogs again. I feel like I start most of my posts this way, but I really like working with the dogs. Not a lot of people were around today, and similarly, there wasn't a lot of stuff to do with the dogs. I helped braid some rope for the chicken feeders, and then after lunch, bird beautification again. This time, we did geese! I liked to help catch them, holding them is kind of hard because they squirm a lot. When we were done with that, we visited the pigs on the farm and helped feed them. There were really little ones, and huge ones that could bite your hand off. We then helped to prep some grow boxes in the chicken coop. We shoveled sand out of them, and shoveled dirt in. By the end of today, I am spent!

Today, I did dogs again. We did the usual feeding/cleaning, and then we went on a walk. We went to the park and walked Marlin, Rusty, and Opie. Marlin was behaving very well, he rarely got distracted by passing dogs. After lunch, we began bird beautification. We caught roosters, hens, and ducks. Their nails were then cut, they were checked for diseases and fleas, and were de-wormed. The fun part about this was catching them. The gross part was having chicken lice crawl on my shirt. Luckily, they can not survive on humans, but that didn't stop me from taking a long, hot shower.

Today, I was on dogs again. I helped do the usual stuff. Then, we took Marlin and Rusty on a walk. Marlin is a biter, so he needed to have a muzzle on. Luckily, he ignored me, so it was a good meeting with him. We had to turn back to Pasado's because there was a loose dolberman, and we didn't want Marlin to get in a bad mood. We then went to the store to get some needed supplies. We got baby carrots for Rusty, who is a diabetic, because it is the only type of treat he can have. According to Diane, it was Rusty's first treat since he's been here, and he loved it!!  Today was an overall success because, ever since my first day at Pasado's, I've wanted Marlin to love me, but he always barked at me:(((  but, today he didn't :)))) However, I'm really sad that Morganne isn't feeling well yet.

Today, I did 'dogs' again, but we finished early to get the dogs ready for Camp Charlie. Camp Charlie is a really big dog park where you can have them off their leashes. It was fun to see all the dogs running around and interacting with one another.
